Since launching our STEM outreach program in 2020, Team Kenya has been on a mission to democratize access to robotics and technology education across Kenya. Today, we're proud to announce that we've reached a significant milestone: 100 schools all over Kenya

From Urban Centers to Rural Communities

Our outreach program doesn't discriminate by geography. We've traveled from Nairobi's bustling suburbs to far locations such as Mombasa, bringing the excitement of robotics to every corner of Kenya. Each visit includes hands-on workshops, robot demonstrations, and inspirational talks from team members and mentors.

What started as simple demonstrations has evolved into comprehensive programs. We now offer multi-day workshops, teacher training sessions, and ongoing support to help schools establish their own robotics clubs.

Student Success Stories

The impact has been transformative. Students who had never considered STEM careers are now pursuing engineering and computer science. Teachers report increased engagement in math and science classes. Parents see their children's confidence grow as they master new technical skills.

"Before Team Kenya visited our school, I thought robotics was only for students in Nairobi. Now I'm teaching Python to my classmates and we're building our own robots. I want to study mechatronics engineering."

Several students from our outreach program have gone on to join Team Kenya, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences. Others have started tech clubs, coding bootcamps, and innovation hubs in their communities.

The Road to 200 Schools

We're not stopping at 100. Our goal is to reach 200 schools by 2027, with enhanced programming including virtual mentorship, online resources, and regional robotics competitions. We're also developing a curriculum that aligns with Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to ensure sustainability.

With continued support from our sponsors and partners, we believe every Kenyan student should have the opportunity to explore STEM fields and discover their potential as innovators and problem-solvers.
